An experienced structural engineer, Jean-Claude (JC) Gerardy received his degree from University of Liège (Belgium) before embarking on his diverse career at ArcelorMittal, the world’s leading steel and mining company. Presently serving as Head of Export for Sections and Merchant Bars, JC has been stationed throughout the world – from the USA, to Singapore, to Turkey, to Morocco, to Luxembourg – promoting the benefits of ArcelorMittal’s innovative structural steel solutions and participating in the development of industry standards, such as the Eurocode requirements for steel and composite structures, the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Steel Specifications and Provisions, American Welding Society (D1.1 Structural Welding Code).
