Abdo Kardous is the Regional President for Middle East Operations and Managing Director of Asia Pacific Operations with Hill International. He has more than thirty years of experience in the design, procurement, construction and delivery of major projects, covering a wide spectrum of building projects in many countries dealing with multi-cultural environments.
Mr. Kardous joined Hill International in 1997 and was instrumental in growing the operations of the firm across the Middle East, by securing as well as overseeing the design and construction of more than 30 major projects. These included several prominent or award winning tall buildings such as the Etihad and Gateway Towers in Shams Abu Dhabi, the Dubai Tower in Doha and the Bahrain Financial Harbor.
Prior to joining Hill International, Mr. Kardous was the Real Estate Development Manager for the largest property company responsible for the reconstruction of the Beirut City Centre and the redevelopment of one of the tallest buildings along the Eastern Mediterranean. Mr. Kardous started his professional career in 1982 with a leading Architectural/Engineering practice in Kuwait and assisted in the construction management of the first high rise developments at the time.
Mr. Kardous earned his B.S., Magna Cum Laude, in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He was the first to be selected for the Hill International Project Manager of the Year award in 2001.
