About

Swinal Samant is an academic and sustainability expert with a diverse global experience of the UK, India and Singapore. She has been an Associate Professor (University of Nottingham) and Co-Program Director of MSc ISD (National University of Singapore).

Her experience of over 25 years spans across diverse contexts and has collaborated with top institutions in Asia, Europe and the USA.
Her research and design teaching focuses on environmental sustainability and carbon neutrality at building and urban scales. Tackling the imminent issues of resource depletion, ecological footprint and waste generation associated with linear economies, her research argues for systems thinking, regenerative design and circularity.
