Sean Linnane, executive vice president for Magellan Development Group LLC, is responsible for managing various aspects of the development process for many of Magellan’s current and potential projects. His focus is on coordinating activities in the early stages of a project, including entitlements, planning, and financial modeling. In addition to this key role, Linnane also manages development activities related to financing, design and sales strategies, including land and building development efforts in Lakeshore East, Chicago, the company’s largest undertaking to date.

Prior to joining Magellan, Linnane was affiliated with Equity Properties and Development Limited Partnership, one of the nation’s largest retail development organizations, which was then part of Equity Group Investments. As a construction project manager, he was responsible for strategic planning, coordinating and implementing a variety of redevelopment projects within the company’s extensive regional mall and community center portfolio.

He also gained real estate experience while serving as the vice president of development for another Chicago condominium developer. Previously, Linnane worked as a project manager for Robert G. Lyon Associates, a Chicago-area architectural firm, and as an instructor in the Construction and Code Enforcement program at South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois.

Linnane received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and went on to earn a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
