About

Dr. Payam Bahrami is Vice President at Optim Design Inc., an architectural and engineering consulting firm. He specializes in the architectural design and research with focus on sustainability and building technology. He has been in professional architectural practice and research since 2001.

Prior to this, he worked as a Research Manager at Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and a Senior Research Associate at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), where he managed grant proposals, coordinated research teams, and led CTBUH research division from 2011 to 2014. He was also served as a research and administrative assistant to the PhD Program, College of Architecture at IIT, from 2007 to 2011.

Dr. Bahrami received his Ph.D. in Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, 2011 and his Master in Architectural Engineering from Azad University in Iran, 2001. His…
