Dr. Matin Alaghmandan is an Assistant Professor in the school of Architecture and Urbanism at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran. He also teaches at Tehran University as a visiting professor. He holds a doctorate in Architecture in the realm of the integration of architecture, structure and fluid dynamics of tall buildings at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He developed an innovative method of design of tall buildings, considering the form and structural system of tall buildings regarding wind effect, simultaneously. He recently established Pars Tall Buildings Incorporation to continue his research and also develop practical methods of tall buildings’ design. He has taught the structural courses for architects and also a design studio for master students approaching optimizing the form and structure of tall buildings through design process.
