Karen Nichols, FAIA is one of the architectural design practice leaders at Michael Graves & Associates. Since joining the firm in 1977, she has played a key role in its integrated practice in master planning, architecture, interior design, and graphic design. She has extensive experience planning cultural facilities such as museums and other audience-based institutions in the US and abroad. She was a member of the Turner-Meinhardt-Graves team that developed the tourism plan and conceptual design of the Statue of Unity, commemorating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a seminal figure in the history of modern-day India.
